Corn on the Cob Pizza [video and photos]

This week we came across something slightly unnerving when American pizza chain Little Caesars introduced the world to their Corncob Crust Pizza!

Here’s the video if you haven’t seen it!

What you get is a pizza with crust made from corn cobs with knobs of butter adornments, sweetcorn toppings, and then as a side you get a two liter bottle of liquid butter for dipping!

Is this real?

We were checking the date to see if it was 1 April yet, but nope, it was only 21 March, so that raised the possibility of this being real… but come on! There’s no way this is real, but it was a great piece of marketing and got a lot of traction on social media.

Pizza needs a crust!

For us, pizza is all about the crust, and we still don’t understand those heathens who don’t eat their crusts! Maybe this is for them, but even so, that would be a very high corn:pizza ratio. We have nothing against corn on the cob though as love cooking them in our pizza ovens.

There’s been plenty of talk on socials and forums with requests for a pretzel crust, and we’ve had hotdog stuffed crusts in the past, but what would your ‘unique’ crust choice be?
